3) Percepts are the qualities of the objects that we perceive with our senses.
Concepts are the ideas that we conceive form those perceptions.
2) Percepts mostly rely on our senses.
Concepts, on the other hand, depend on the higher intellectual functions called "abstraction".
1) Differences between objects are mostly perceptual;
While the similarities are mostly conceptual.
For instance, consider an orange and a banana:
As far as the differences are concerned; they differ in their shape, color, smell and taste, etc. All perceptual.
But as for similarities; they are both fruit, edible, food, etc. All conceptual.
*******
In our everyday interpersonal life, if we always find ourselves focusing on the differences rather than similarities, we might want to take a closer look at our intellectual abilities.

I guess!
and I wonder this closer looks are considered as sth beneficial for my improvement ... !!????
If you consider “personal insight” as an essential pre-requisite for “personal growth”, then I guess you could say yes to that.
I thought the example should have been vice versa. That is being fruit and food and.....(the similarities) are the perceptions?
I am thinking that as we grow older we get more and more complicated and we grow the tree of our concepts, while as kids, we have more percepts?
The "similarities" are mostly the "concepts".
You can "see" the "color", "shape" and the "size", "smell" the "fragrance" and "savor" the "taste". These are perceptions.
But you have to "know" "what" fruit/food etc is. These are concepts.
And yes, you are right.
As children we rely mostly on our perceptions to relate to the world.
But as we grow up and develop our intellectual abilities, so do our conceptions of the world.
I see. Then why do u say:
1) Similarities between objects are mostly perceptual;
While the differences are mostly conceptual.
Duly noted;
And corrected!
didn't mean to be "MollaNoghati" :)
